Need to recharge? Well, when we think of escaping from the hustle and bustle, a trip to a leisure facility is the most obvious choice. But have you tried traveling back memory lane?

You can scour your storage for pictures, letters, or old stuff or better yet, visit your former school, chat online with an old chum or do just about anything that can bring you back.

A step back will remind you of the people who really matter to you; a step back will help you appreciate the experiences that altogether brought out the best in you; and, a step back will allow you to reunite with the awesome person who worked hard to become better – you.

A story about a rainfall
Born high up in a cloud
Unusually blissful and small
Sun and Sky were truly proud.

Every rainfall’s whimsy
Was the coming of the ‘great fall’
‘Landing on trees’, said many
‘Is what we look forward above all.’

Others say rooftops or any solid
Will create beautiful melodies
While some wouldn’t mind
Said surprises could be any place.

But this one small rainfall
Had another adventure in mind
‘It would really be wonderful
If I meet and greet a child!’

‘How could that be possible?’
All argued to the small rainfall
‘A child will never notice you
Among billions of us in the fall!’

‘Well’, it said self-assuredly
‘Was I not born extraordinary?’
‘So how can a child miss me
When you are nothing like me?’

I toiled, I toiled, and I toiled
With the sun, with the rain
And soon after the season end
I wait, I wait, and I wait
With hope, with faith
That all the hard work
Will bring forth good fate.

I prayed, I prayed, and I prayed
With my heart, with my mind
And soon as the day is through
I journey, I journey, and I journey
With pleasure, with surrender
To where my Lord wants me
A place where bliss is forever.
